He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Plate and Lucille Plate (Black); his siblings, Sallie DeGeest (Larry) and Leonard Plate (Joyce); his sister-in-law Gloria Plate; and his brothers, Dean and Edward Plate.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte "Peggy" Jones of Oskaloosa; his children, Marcy Bryan (Denny) of Oskaloosa and Mike Plate (Kathy) of University Park; his grandchildren, Melissa Vasconez (Dennis) of Ottumwa, Michelle Holland (Corey) of Pella, Matthew Bryan (Melanie) of Oskaloosa, Amber Thompson of Victor, Nick Thompson of Oskaloosa, Shelby Talbert of Brooklyn, Ashley Bryan of Oskaloosa, Megan Wallace (Lawrence) of Oskaloosa and Jeremy Plate (Vanessa) of Oskaloosa; and his siblings, John Plate (Margaret) of Oskaloosa, Gene Plate (Darlene) of Sun City, AZ, Robert Plate of Oskaloosa, Howard Plate (Elaine) of Lodi, WI and Ivan Plate (Joaquina) of Des Moines. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Glen had a special place in his heart for kids; memorial contributions may be made to the Glen Plate Memorial for Children's.
