She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Hobart Arthur and Pansy Blossom Gerard Arthur; her husband Roger Jack McDowell; her siblings, Margaret, Betty, Aileen, Kenneth, Robert, Keith and Ward; and her parents-in-law, Ollie and Velva Hull McDowell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Penny Jo Veldhuizen (Jerry) and Vicki Lynne Latcham (Richard Barnes); her granddaughters, Kelsey Veldhuizen, Nicole Willard (Blake), Cassie Veldhuizen and Lacie Latcham; her great grandchildren, Leo Johnson, Delilah and Korver Willard; and her sisters, Shirley Tice of Kellerton and Doris Lowry of Grinnell.
Memorial contributions may be designated to Hospice Serenity House Donor Wall, Mahaska Health Foundation in Oskaloosa for a memorial plaque in her name.
