Dorothy Braaksma Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Dorothy Braaksma of Oskaloosa, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth; her husband Gysbert; her son Dennis Braaksma; and her siblings, Pauline Vincent, Dale Tish and Beulah Upah.

She is survived by: her children, Bonita Primley of Ladora, Wanda Braaksma of Cedar Rapids and Kenton Braaksma of Runnells; her daughter-in-law Sandra Braaksma of Nevada, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jennifer Halverson (Doug Kriegel), Nicholas Vande Berg (Michelle), Brandy Escher, Amy Braaksma, Shaun Braaksma (Alexandra), Roberta Gillam, Samantha McDowell, Elizabeth Bunker and Thomas Dale; and her brother Laverne Tish. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Pleasant Township Cemetery.
