He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Swim and Helen Swim (Hoit); and his aunt Eunice Toll (Leona Whitis). He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy Crispen; his children, Jeff Swim (Holly) of Cedar and Jennifer Swim (Justin VanWyk) of Pella; his grandchildren, Theo and Kinser Swim; and his siblings, Donald Swim (Marilyn) of Oskaloosa, Glenys Sarver (Edwin) of University Park, Darrell Swim (Phyllis) of Oskaloosa, Doug Swim (Kathy) of Oskaloosa and Ginger Boender (Doug) of New Sharon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
Memorials may be made to the Oskaloosa Honor Guard.
