He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Chavez and Francisco Rodriguez Chavez; and his sister Margarita Chavez. He is survived by: his wife Isidra Palos of Oskaloosa; and his children, Eliseo Chavez (Rosary) of Chicago, Tony Chavez (Rosa) of Oskaloosa, Elidia Alverez (Lalo) of Nebraska, Ramon Chavez (Marcella) of Los Angeles, Salvador Chavez (Alecia) of Oskaloosa, Evangelina Rodriguez (Jose) of Oskaloosa, Maria Chavez (Jose) of Oskaloosa, Anjeles Chavez of Aguascalientes and Elaina Chavez of Aguascalientes, Mexico.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
