She is survived by: her mother Mary Young (DeBruin); her former husband David Meppelink; her son Nicholas; her father Russell Young of Oskaloosa; her sons, Aaron Meppelink (Nicole) of Barnes City and Matthew Meppelink of Cedar Rapids; her brother Mark Stek (Kirsten); her nephews, Jakob and Ethan Stek of Oskaloosa; her uncle Rod DeBruin of Laramie; her cousin Laura DeBruin of Denver, Colorado; her friend Melissa Gingrech of Ottumwa; her stepsiblings, Russell Young of Dallas City, Chandra Young of Oskaloosa and Cody Young of Sigourney; her aunts, Vicky Collette (Scott), Linda Johnson (Delmer) and Ronda Roozeboom (Randy); and also, Bailey, Kyle, Sophie, Anthony and Talia Young.
