She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Errol and Edith Ridenger Gray. She is survived by: her husband Robert Messer; her sons, Chris Messer of Urbandale and Michael Messer (Dawn) of Conway, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Jacob Messer (Telisa), Paige Messer and Abagail Messer; her great grandchildren, Gracie, Bentley, Quinn, Kohen Messer and Khaleesi Brewer; and her sister Shirley Thornton.
