He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Meinders and Dorothy Meinders (Van Engelenhoven); his sister Ruth VanDe Kieft; his parents-in-law, Marion and JoAnn Vande Kieft; and his sister-in-law Joann Fynaardt.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Meinders of Oskaloosa; his children, Laurie Webby (Richard), Brian Meinders and Brad Meinders (Melanie); his grandchildren, Hannah Twit, Grace Webby, Claire Webby, Taeler Lanser, Tristen Stravers (Clay), Sawyer Meinders, Blake Meinders, Braden Meinders, Morgan Meinders, Brock Meinders, Maisy Meinders and Beckett Meinders; his brother Bernard "Junior" Meinders (Carolyn); and his siblings-in-law, Moe VanDe Kieft (Krista), Pete Fynaardt, Ron Vande Kieft and Marilou Schiebout (Bruce). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Oskaloosa Christian Grade School.
