She was predeceased by: her mother Ruby Maxine (Moore); her husband Roy Earl Mateer; her grandson Zachary Scott German; and her sister Mary Alice Blair. She is survived by: her children, Doug Mateer (Lori) of Ankeny, Mark Mateer (Hope) of Osceola, Shelli Cowling of Osceola and Kris Timmons (Matt) of Osceola; her siblings, Helen Smith of Murray, Sue Howard of Fredericksburg, IA, Jim Davis (Barb) of Waterloo and Steve Davis (Rhonda) of Creston; and her grandchildren, Ryan German, Kylie German, Morgan Ice, Dustin Cowling, Adam Cowling, Nate Mateer, Cole Mateer, Brandon Mateer, Cort West, Hanna Carson and Amber Carson. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, and many other cherished relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kale Funeral Home - Osceola (301 S Main St, Osceola, IA 50213). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM.
