He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Clayton Allen and Helen Catherine Saddoris Allen. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Allen of Osceola, IA; his children, Travis Hartman (Monica) and Megan Huff (Michael) of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Hayley Hartman (Ava Hartman), Conor, Sally (Quinn Wilson), Brennan and Brianna (Blythe Huff); his siblings, Peggy Allen of Ankeny, IA and David Allen (Deanna) of Osceola, IA; his nephew Clay Allen; and his niece Alena Allen.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for the Clarke County Fairgrounds.
