Carl Lantz and Edna Marie Lantz; his siblings-in-law, Carlyne Jeffries, Keith Lantz and Bill Lantz; his children, Gary Voltmer of New Virginia, IA, Luanne Marten (Steve) of Kansas City, MO, Jerilynn Bush (Alan) of Sheboygan, WI and Steve Voltmer (Beth) of New Virginia, IA; his grandchildren, Andy Marten (Katie) of Prairie Village, KS, Alex Marten (Megan) of Spring Hill, KS, Tom Marten (Megan) of Mission, KS, Pete Marten (Estarah) of Kansas City, KS, Joe Bush (Liz) of Madison, WI, Courtney Stanley (Chad) of New Virginia, IA, Tanner Loyd (Abbie) of Indianola, IA and Mackenzy Scrivner (Eric) of St. Charles, IA; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Nick, Emmy Marten, Ellie, Charlie, Hattie Marten, Makenna, Hadley, Hayden Loyd, Lincoln Stanley, Myles, Grace and Emmitt Scrivner.
In 1971 he challenged the community to match his $500 donation (an inheritance from his grandmother), to start a library.
