He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Slykhuis and Gertrude Slykhuis (Dykens); his stepmother Johanna; and his sister Linda Slykhuis. He is survived by: his former wife June Sams; his children, Andrea Hingeley (Quentin) of Diagonal, IA, Jeff Slykhuis (Charlotte) of Wooster, Brad Slykhuis of Newton, IA and Tom Slykhuis (Amy) of Papillion, NE.; and his niece Laura Jones (Steve). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 5. 8 great-grandchildren.
