She was predeceased by: her adoptive parents, Fred, Gladys Orvis, Bill and Eva Steva; her siblings, Lois Orvis, Clyde, Robert Orvis, Gerald Steva (Charlotte) and Donald Steva (Marjorie); and her son-in-law Larry Bless.
She is survived by: her aunt Eva Mae Steva (Bill Steva) of Monona, Iowa.; her husband Robert Hartwig; her children, Robert Hartwig Jr. (Glenda) of Erie, CO, Julie Bless of St. Ansgar, IA, Laurel Cunningham (Bruce) of Berthoud, CO, Cynthia Griffin (Clinton) of Erie, CO, Robin Allen (Raymond) of Cheyenne, WY and Kristen Hartwig of Osage, IA.; her grandchildren, Bobby Joe Griffin (Danielle), David Hartwig (Jennifer), Amanda Hartwig, Matthew Bless (Janelle), Alexandra Griffin, Michael Bless and Mark Bless; and her great grandchildren, Kayden Griffin-Lile, Haylei, Thomas, Dominik Griffin, Weston, Lillian and Dylan Hartwig.
In lieu of flowers, any memorials will be donated to charitable organizations that were close to Shirley's heart.
