He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Johnston and Versye Johnston (Caldwell); his sons, Evan and Alvin; and his brother Herbert Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Johnston of Osage; his daughter-in-law Rita Johnston of Osage; his sisters-in-law, Mildred Johnston of Urbandale and Patricia Cowell of Oregon; and also, Christopher Johnson of Bay City, Gabe Johnson of Bay City, Amanda Johnson (Andrew) of Bay City, Indie Scheer of Osage, Alana Scheer (Luke) of Osage, Drayven and Kade.
