He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Gillen and Amelia Gillen (Ford); his wife Nancy Graves; and his siblings, Everett, Ed, Hollis, Ure, Junior, George, Richard, Evelyn, Betty, Arlene and Darlene.
He is survived by: his children, Bobbie Shimek (Tom), Robert Gillen Jr. (Shelley), Jon Gillen, Richard Gillen (Jennette), Betty Huebsch (Dan) and Corbin Gillen (Doreen); and his sister Gerrie Gallant. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
