She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Mayer and Melba Mayer (Jordan); and her husband David Spitz. She is survived by: her children, Marea Tribble (Steve) and Darin Spitz (Anna); her grandchildren, Taylor, Megan, Derek and Ashleigh; her great grandchildren, Evelyn and Charlotte; her brother Keith; and her sister-in-law Denise Mayer of Osage.
Marilyn loved flamingos, traveling, playing golf, playing cards with her friends and family, and her flowers, especially those "damn" peonies (of which David hated), and had a small collection of the famous "Iowa rocks" (Thanks Weis family for the donations).
