She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry McCarthy and Allie McCarthy (Schweiger); her husband Clement Pitzen of Stacyville; her children, Mary and Andrew; her son-in-law Richard Williams; and her siblings, Bernard, Edmund, Henry, Jr., Thomas, Mary Isabelle King, Grace Thornton, Patricia Detrick and Jeanette Gallagher.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Williams of Westchester, Charles Pitzen (Emilie) of Columbus, OH, Anthony Pitzen (Sherry) of Hamburg, IA, Leonard Pitzen (Sue) of Hawk Point, MO, Mark Pitzen of Hinesville, GA, Dr. Richard Pitzen (Connie) of Ottumwa, IA and Leo Pitzen of Cedar Rapids, IA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
