She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leo Hartwig and Anna Hartwig (Bethke); her husband William "Bill" Scharper; her children, Mary Jean Olson and Kevin Scharper (Jill) of Mason City; her grandchildren, Dan Olson (Valerie), Nicholas Olson, Riley Scharper (Katlyn), Russell and Carly Liv Scharper; her great grandchildren, Noah, Elijah, Jonah and Micah Olson; her sisters, Lois Dutcher of Manly and Jeannette Neuman (William); her brother-in-law Lee Dutcher; and also David R. Olson. She was also cherished by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins.
