He is survived by: his spouse Dorine "Suzi" Thurnau (Grinstead); his children, Aaron Thurnau (Marlys) of St. Ansgar, Lonnie Thurnau of Osage and Crystal Patrick of Osage; his grandchildren, Tanya Adams (Terry), Molly Kennedy, Jay Kisner (Michele), Casey Thurnau (Steph) and Tylor Patrick; and his sister Ruth Rasmusson of Mason City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
