He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Michels and Helen Michels (Mueller); his siblings, Wilmer "Bud" Michels, John "Jack" Michels, Ethel Bissen, Pat Murdock and Hazel Heimer; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Murdock, John "Buddy" Bissen, Clement Heimer and Marita Michels.
He is survived by: his sister Ruth Olson of Waterloo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
