He was predeceased by: his daughter Jane Smith; and his siblings, Leo, Martha Jax (Smith), Nicholas, Gregory, Margaret, Gilbert, Ray and Benny Smith.

He is survived by: his friend Florence Wegman; his wife Florence Smith; his children, Anne Yamriska (Jerry), Gary Smith and Robert Smith (Mina); and his grandchildren, Emily and Zach Smith. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
