It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Schmarzo (Osage, Iowa), born in New Salem, North Dakota, who passed away on March 2, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Simon and Gladys Simon (Bauer); her sister Jean Kienast; and her grandson Matthew Hegg. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Schmarzo of Manning; her daughters, Jan (Don Henkelman) of Dow City, Kara (Tom Blenderman) of Sioux City and Jill Warner of Aurora, Colorado; her grandchildren, Krista Gevik, Melissa Riesberg, Jennifer Albert, Mindy Andersen, Jacob Warner and Joseph Warner; and her sisters, Sylvia Kelly of Story City and Silvia Kelly of Story City. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
