He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnson and Alice Johnson (Sime); his wife Darlene Schultheis; his granddaughter Amelia Grace Young; and his siblings, Dorothy Banken (Gene) and Robert Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughters, DeAnn Scheffel (Roger) of Lyle, Denise Young (Mark) of Knoxville, Iowa and Dawn Fenton of Arlington, Texas; his grandchildren, Patty, Jenny, Mikky, Candy, Amanda, Alicia, Lucas, Aaron and Amy; and his sister-in-law Marvel Johnson of Glenville, Minnesota.. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church or to the Lyle American Legion Post 105.
