He was predeceased by: his parents, John Loecher and Elizabeth Loecher (Koenigs); his siblings, Irene and Ambrose; and his son-in-law Keith.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Mauer; his children, Sharon Jirak of Coon Rapids, MN, David Loecher (Sharon) of Marion, IA, Ron Loecher (Lisa) of Cedar Falls, IA and Diane Lubbert (Jeff) of Denver, CO; and his grandchildren, Evan, Ashley, Riane, Shelly, Abbey, Jana, John, Natalie, Isaac, Luke and Cael.
