She was predeceased by: her parents, Herb Gelner and Gertrude Gelner (Hogan); her husband Earle "Ike" Penney; her son-in-law Paul Smith; her granddaughter Allison "Ally" Smith; her aunt Hannah Lincke; and her sister Mary Loney.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Penney (Shirley) of Osage and Lesa Smith of Stacyville; her grandchildren, Rachel Fisk (John) of Woodbury, Chris Penney (Sheri) of Osage, Sara Robinson (Demetris) of Waterloo and Cole Smith (Jess) of Little Cedar; and her great grandchildren, Sydney, Quinn, Elise, Hayden, Holden, Caroline, Lane, Jacob, Keon and Wesley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
