He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rev. Joseph P. and Helena Scorza (Kopp); his wife Phyllis Van Setters; his children, Christine, Philip, Chris (Mike Salzman), Phil Scorza (Kim) and John Scorza (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jericho Ney, Kassie Carpio, Daimon Scorza, Joe Scorza and Tyler Scorza; his great grandchildren, Jackson Ney, Charlea, Oliver and Luca Carpio; and his sisters, Ann Plaas and Edna Brooks.

Memorials may be directed to Northwestern College in Orange City, Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, and Words of Hope.
