He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry A. B. and Cornelia De Haan (Van Zyl); and his siblings, Ruth (Arie Drost), Albert (Jenny De Haan), Betty (Howard Nitz) and Wallace (Carolyn De Haan).
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Rohrs; his children, Dr. Jeffrey De Haan (Jayme) of Texarkana, Texas and Cindy (Harley Broek) of Arnolds Park; his granddaughters, Heather (Paul Rabara), Jennifer (Ojan Jay Karimi), Brittany (Brent Bunch) and Karlee De Haan; his great grandchildren, Reid, Ben Rabara, Dylan and Kennedy Karimi; and his brother-in-law Robert (Beverly Rohrs) of Orange City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Protocols established for COVID-19 will be followed, including spatially-distanced seating and face coverings.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
