The passing of Scott A. Kooiman of Orange City, Iowa, born in Worthington, Minnesota leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 13, 2024 at the age of 49. He was predeceased by: his mother Alvina Kooiman (De Jager) of Sioux Center. He is survived by: his wife Anne Vogel; his children, Samuel of Orange City, Joanna of Orange City, Abigail of Orange City and Sadie of Orange City; his siblings, Tami (Jason Koelewyn), Mindy (Doug Holesinger), Dawn (Tim Van Vugt), Erika (Matt Brossard) and Chris (Jess Vogel); and also, Wrede, Barb Vogel of Luverne, Minnesota and Frank Vogel of Orange City. He is also survived by seventeen nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Hope Evangelical Free Church (718 Florida Ave SW, Orange City, IA 51041). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at the West Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials will be given to the Luke Society.
