He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Schalekamp and Jennie Schalekamp (Van Gelder); and his siblings-in-law, Amelia Reinking, Diane (Jerry Munro) and Carl Reinking.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Reinking of Orange City; his daughters, Wendi Schalekamp (Keith Van Houten) of Sioux Falls and Jackie Schalekamp (Luke Richman) of Altoona; his brother Douglas (Linda Schalekamp) of Sioux Falls; and also, Allen Reinking of California, Mary (Dennis De Zeeuw) of Sioux Center, Darrell and Janice Reinking of Johnston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials will be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
