She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter J. Statema and Anna Statema (Jansma); her former husband Julius De Jong; her husband Otto Alvin Huizenga; her granddaughter Christina De Jong; and her siblings, John Statema, Art Statema, Frank Statema, Clarence Statema, Pete Statema, Ann Zomermaand, Betty Sikma, Madelyne Huizenga, Geneva Burggraaf, Peter S. De Jong, Samuel De Jong, Raymond De Jong, Marion De Jong and Marvin De Jong (Rena Kloosterman).
She is survived by: her children, Barb (Gary Blom) of Hull, Pam De Jong of Sheldon, Tim De Jong (Lynette) of Sioux Falls, Nancy (Myron Gradert) of Sioux Center and Mike De Jong (Angila Moffit) of Orange City; her grandchildren, Jonathan Blom (Melanie), Libby (Dan Faber), Ashley (Craig Laackmann), Allie (Tyce Bucknell), Zach De Jong, Daniel Gradert (Miranda), Josh Gradert (Leah), Cody Gradert (Katelyn), Matthew De Jong (Josh Tucker) and Josie De Jong; her siblings-in-law, Bertha Statema of Ireton, Delores De Jong of Honey Creek, Rose Te Grotenhuis of Orange City and Wilbur (JoAnn De Jong) of Orange City; and her nieces and nephews, LuAnn of Lynden, Washington, Mark Wagenaar of Lynden, Washington, Ruth of Lynden, Washington, Bryon Schelling of Lynden, Washington, Bev of Orange City, Randy VanDe Griend of Orange City, Maria of Orange City, Mike Byker of Orange City, Orlan of Orange City and Rebecca Huizenga of Orange City. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials will be given to Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon.
