He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Wechel and Gwendolyn Van Wechel (Den Beste); and his brother David Van Wechel. He is survived by: his sister Mary Sandbulte of Sioux Center; and his sister-in-law Shirley Van Wechel of Orange City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
