He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Klompenburg and Bertha Van Klompenburg (De Jong); his brother Rodney Van Klompenburg; and his sister-in-law Arlene (Jack Mouw). He is survived by: his wife Ella Mae of Orange City; his sons, Doug Van Klompenburg (Donna) of Columbus, Indiana and Kevin Van Klompenburg (Linda Brunick) of Sioux Falls; his grandsons, Ryan Van Klompenburg of Indianapolis, Indiana and Kyle Van Klompenburg (Alicen) of London, England; his great grandchildren, Artie and Lainie Van Klompenburg; and his brother Norman (Patricia Van Klompenburg) of Newton, Iowa..

Memorials will be given to Union Gospel Mission in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
