She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" and Arta Huisman (De Vries); her husband David Darlow Duistermars; and her brothers-in-law, John Prather, Jr. and Don Corrigan.
She is survived by: her children, Shawn (Evan Peuse) of Hudsonville, Michigan, Dan Duistermars (Terri) of Orange City and Todd Duistermars of Orange City; her grandchildren, Erron Peuse (Trisha) of Holt, Michigan, Emily (Josh Benton) of Cumming, Georgia, Allison (Franklin Rojas) of Honduras, Dani Duistermars of Orange City, Darbi Duistermars of Waukee and Davis Duistermars of Orange City; her sisters, Hazel Prather of Sun City and Sharon Corrigan of Salem, Massachusetts; and her brother-in-law Verle (Connie Duistermars) of Orange City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
