Leland A. De Haan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leland A. De Haan of Orange City, Iowa, who passed away on December 30, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry G. Haan and Margaret Gertrude De Haan (Plender); his son Alan Jay De Haan; his brother Glenn De Haan; his sisters-in-law, Nelva Jean Van Rooyen and Kathleen (Gerrit Rozeboom); and also, Walter, Nell Van Rooyen, Jacob "Jack" Van Rooyen, Marie, Willie and Gerrit "Gary" Pennings.
He is survived by: his wife Leora Mae Van Rooyen of Orange City; his children, Lee Ann (Arlen Smit) of Orange City, Douglas De Haan (Kathy) of Sioux City, Darwin De Haan of Wanaque, Craig De Haan (Sandra) of Orange City and Cindy (Scott Schubert) of Dakota Dunes; his grandchildren, Angela Peterson (John), Stephanie Schwebach (Eric), A. J. Smit (Lisa), Karina Nonnemacher (Drew), Cody De Haan, Jesse De Haan (Christine), Matt De Haan, Krystin Gilligan (Steven), Kali Spoelstra (Marc), Skylar De Haan, Shane De Haan, Dalton De Haan, Paxton De Haan, Chadon De Haan, Jazlin De Haan, Ashtyn Ackerman (Adam) and Amber Schubert; and his sisters-in-law, Nelvina De Haan of Orange City and Irene Pennings of Orange City. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; a brother.
