It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura A. Van Wyk Postma of Orange City, Iowa, born in Boyden, Iowa, who passed away on May 28, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ernest and Emma Meyer (Reyelts); her son-in-law Dean Schuck; and her siblings, Augusta Meyer, Elva Mooney (Albert), Marion Meyer (Ed), Pauline Klein, Rudolph Meyer, Marvin Meyer and Wilfred Meyer.
She is survived by: her former husband Gene Van Wyk; her husband Clarence Postma of Orange City; her children, Sherrie Schuck, Bryon (Kelly Van Wyk) and Scott (Laura Van Wyk); her grandchildren, Justin Schuck (Calynn), Ashley Petersen (Mike), Chris Van Wyk, Kim Heitkamp (Huston), Josh Van Wyk (Angela Moore) and Amy Bigley (Logan); her great grandchildren, Lillian, Xander, Jackson, Ava, Jonas, MaKenna, Kenzington, Olivia and Finnley; her sisters, Carol (Roger Drenth) and Lois (Jim Lockhorst); her siblings-in-law, Magdalene Doorenbos of Sioux Center, Ileen Meyer of Boyden, Carol Meyer of Hull and Harvey Klein of Rock Valley; her stepchildren, Randy (Barb Postma) of Grand Rapids, Myron (Shari Postma) of Grand Rapids, Lynn Postma (Arden) of Grand Rapids and Deb Postma of Grand Rapids; her stepgrandchildren, Matt Postma (Jana), Stephen Postma, Chris Postma (Rachael), Joel Postma, Dawn Cherney (Brett), Tara Postma, Ryan Postma (Kelsey), Tyler Holstege (Sally), Grant Holstege (Katie), Jillian Postma and Isaac Postma; and also, Edan and Thea. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the Orange City Area Health System, where Laura was a frequent volunteer.
