It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerome Goedhart of Orange City, Iowa, born in Hospers, Iowa, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Goedhart and Adriana Margaret Goedhart (Schuller); his brother Larry Goedhart; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Mitts, Mike Vander Meulen and Gloria Vander Plaats.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kay Vander Plaats of Orange City; his children, Kristin, Jeff Beardsworth of St. Albert, Alberta, Michael and Agnes Goedhart of Park Ridge, Illinois; his granddaughters, Katie (Sander Vahepold) and British Columbia; his great grandchild Reese Vahepold; his sisters, Harriett Mitts of St. Louis, Missouri and Peggy Vander Meulen of Orange City; his sister-in-law Mary Goedhart of Wesley; and also, Thelma (Kenny Haack) of Ocheyedan, Dennis Vander Plaats of Sioux Center, Les Vander Plaats (Barb) of Orange City and Rose (Tom Van Engen) of Crestwood, Illinois. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials will be given to the Orange City Christian School.
