She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Tigchelaar and Jennie Tigchelaar (Hibma); her daughter Judith Joy Van Peursem; her daughter-in-law Deborah K. Van Peursem; and her sister Sadie (Arend Westhuis).

She is survived by: her husband Russ of Orange City; her children, Denise Van Peursem of Orange City, Marc (Nora Van Peursem) and Jon (Carol Van Peursem); her granddaughter Alyssa (Andrew Peters) of Orange City; her children, Preston Van Peursem (Heidi) of Orange City and Sara Van Peursem of Orange City; and her great grandchildren, Scarlett, Leo Peters and Jackson Van Peursem.
