She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore "Ted" and Arta Heemstra (Reekers); her former husband Jacob Myron Vander Wilt; her husband Jean; her brother Merlyn (Audrey Heemstra); and her brothers-in-law, John Landegent and Marlyn Vander Wilt.
She is survived by: her children, Jay (Jill Vander Wilt), Gayle (Steve Newby) and Jaclyn (Jay Joersz); her grandchildren, Alicia Adams (Louis), Brent Vander Wilt (Gail), Kyle Vander Wilt (Meredith), Ashley Ogden (Chris), Angela Jones, Andrea Newby and Stephanie Reynolds (Jason); her sisters, Audrey Landegent of Orange City and Carole (Donald Kempema) of Grandville, Michigan; and her sister-in-law Judy Vander Wilt of Holland, Michigan. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
