We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2021, at the age of 97, Edna Katje of Orange City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Siebersma and Maggie Siebersma (Scheeringa); her husband Frank Lester Katje; her sons, Kenneth Dale Katje, Arlyn Frank Katje and Conley Eugene Katje; her grandsons, Anthony Gene Katje and Robert James Van Dam; her siblings, Sophie (Richard Van Zee), Lucille (Elmer Vande Brake), Hermina (Nelson Muilenburg), Steve (Lois Siebersma), Stanley (Nelvy Siebersma) and Marjorie (Elmer Hofland); her brother-in-law Chester Faber; her brother Gerald (Louise Katje); and also, Alvin Van Zee and Warren Damkot.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald, Judy Katje (Reinking) of Seal Beach, California, Cheri, Darrell Van Klompenburg of Chandler, Arizona, Karen of Orange City, Arlin Klein of Orange City, Edwin of Orange City, Heather Katje (Hogan) of Orange City, Beverly of Orange City and Bert Van Dam of Orange City; her daughter-in-law Anita Katje (Bons) of San Marcos, California; her grandchildren, Jason (Melanie Katje), Michel (Marci Katje), Jana (Brian Shea), Elessa (Darren Marker), Deron (Catherine Van Klompenburg), Faith (David Van Klompenburg), Steven (Shelly Katje), Kristi (Joe Arns), Daniel, Angela (Liam Igoe), David Katje, Zachery (Megan Katje), Abby Katje, Tamara (Chad Rauk), Timothy (Melissa Klein), Dustin (Regan Katje), Austin (Elizabeth Katje), Melissa (Douglas Brummel), Nicolaas (Bethany Van Dam), Joshua Van Dam, Christopher (Chelsea Van Dam), Jeremy Van Dam and Jennifer Van Dam; her granddaughter-in-law Audrey Siebersma of Orange City; her sister Marilyn Faber of Escondido; and her sister-in-law Agnes Van Zee (Katje). She is also survived by fifty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother.
