He was predeceased by: his father Paul Hartog; his brother Jerry; and his grandparents, Cornelius, Magdeline Den Hartog (De Zeeuw), William and Carrie Boone (Ver Steeg).
He is survived by: his mother Joan Den Hartog (Boone) of Sioux Center; and his brother Bruce of Sioux Center. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and other extended family.
Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Reformed Church, the Unity Christian High School building fund, and Sioux Center Hospice.
