It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denise Sassman of Orange City, Iowa, born in Albert City, Iowa, who passed away on March 12, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Carlson and Verva Carlson (Hemm); her husband Steve Sassman; and her sister Darlys Carlson. She is survived by: her sons, Mike Sassman (Linda) of Sioux Center, Iowa, Todd Sassman (Donette) of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa and Troy Sassman (Robin) of Boone, Iowa; her grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Lyndsay, Aaron Sassman, Caleb, Gabriel, Elizabeth Sassman, Alaina and Olivia Sassman; her stepgrandchildren, Sarah Nibbelink (Cory), Ethan, Katie Movick, Eli and Alyssa Nibbelink; and her siblings, Delmar Carlson of Albert City, Doyle Carlson of Naples, Utah, Deb Travis of Mallard and Darla Vonnahme of Algona, Iowa. She is also survived by nieces, nephews; other extended family and my friends.
