He was predeceased by: his parents, William John and Henrietta Ter Horst (Plender); his sister Margene Van Zanten; and his brothers-in-law, Don Kraai and Vernon Sandbulte (Joanne).
He is survived by: his wife Lorna Grace Sandbulte of Orange City; his daughters, Karen (David Moss) and Kristen (Dennis Van Oort); his grandchildren, Dan (Jocelyn Moss), Shannon (Matt Higdon), Erin (Cody Nelson), Nick (Holly Van Oort) and Jenna (Jake Peterson); his great grandchildren, Rylee, Calli, Bennett Moss, Molli, Quinn Nelson, Karsen, Kolten, Kingsten Van Oort, Tucker and Tenley Peterson; his siblings, Geralyn Kraai of Rock Valley and Stanley (Dorothy Ter Horst) of Sioux Falls; his brother-in-law William C. Van Zanten of Orange City; and his sister Marvella (Peter Dean Vander Zwaag) of Orange City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials will be given to Samaritan's Purse.
