He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Carl Neumann and Nettie Adel Neumann (Maybohm); his wife Mary; his granddaughter Cybil Neumann; and his siblings, Darryl Neumann, Fred "Fritz" Neumann, Marjorie Driscoll, Cleo Leslie, Shirley Gillespie and Nancy Flood.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Neumann of Sioux Falls, David Neumann (Barb Benson) of Libby, Montana and Penny Neumann Alley (Martin Alley) of Vass; his grandchildren, Corey, Stephanie and Lindsey Trimble; his children, Greta (Andrew Jensen), Kristin, Erich and Niklaus Neumann; his great grandchildren, Kinley, Asher Jensen and Freya Neumann; and his siblings, Carl Neumann of Clinton and Karen Empen of Clinton.
Memorials will be given to the Dutch American Heritage Museum.
