It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Andrew A. Engeltjes of Orange City, Iowa, who passed away on October 15, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit John and Cornelia Engeltjes (Magre); his granddaughter-in-law Courtney Engeltjes; his great grandchild Kasey Engeltjes; his siblings, Lewis Engeltjes (Gertrude), Albertus Engeltjes, Henry Engeltjes (Wilma), Bernie Engeltjes, Bertha (Dick Franken), Grace (Tony Van Roekel), Hattie (Fred Vollink), Fannie (Fred Van Dieren), Marie (Gerrit Fedders) and Nellie (Willard Meyer); and his brother-in-law Peter (Muriel Ravestein).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Ravestein of Orange City; his children, Gaylan Engeltjes (Shirlene) of Orange City, Arlin Engeltjes of Rock Valley, Marla (Ed Hoogland) of Orange City and Deb (Scott Hunt) of Rock Rapids; his grandson Tony Engeltjes (Rachel); his children, Sheila (Matt Mulder), Jill (Travis Netten), Kim (Andy Davelaar), Amanda Wink (Carl Monroe), Megan Engeltjes (AJ Hanson), Trevor Engeltjes, Alex Engeltjes, Matt Vande Kieft (Heather), Trent Hoogland (Tia), Morgan Hoogland, Bryce Hunt (Chelsea), Shelby Hunt and Josh Hunt (Brooke); and his sisters-in-law, Betty Engeltjes of Edgerton, Minnesota and Cathy (Harvey De Groot) of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials will be given to Unity Christian High School and Midwest Honor Flight.
