He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Menning and Nellie Menning (Van Kley); his wife Constance Rae Bloemendaal; his stepmother-in-law Matilda Ter Horst (Bloemendaal); his brothers, Dr. Arnold Menning (Thelma) and Ralph Menning; his siblings-in-law, Larry Bloemendaal and Elsie Bloemendaal (Cleveringa); and also, Arie and Helen Bloemendaal.
He is survived by: his children, David (Cindy Menning), Bruce (Cathy Menning) and Kaye (Kirt Bennett); his grandchildren, Susan Nelson (Dan) of Thompson's Station, Tennessee, Tom Menning (Sydney) of Fox Lake, Illinois, Lea Nelson (Jim) of Bloomington, Ashley Menning of Stamford, Connecticut, Spencer Bennett and Elijah Bennett of Punta Gorda; his great grandchildren, Avery, Romey Nelson of Thompson's Station, Riley, Leighton, Margot, Lucy Menning of Fox Lake, Evelyn Nelson of Bloomington, Ardis Van Rooyan (Brad) of Eldridge and Alice Bloemendaal of Alton; and also Barb Top (Al) of Orange City.
The family requests all who attend the service to wear masks.
