He was predeceased by: his parents, Armand Gagnon and Gabrielle Gagnon (Guay); his sister Susan Lamkey; his sister-in-law Bonnie Lytton; and his stepmother Geraldine Gagnon.
He is survived by: his children, Delia Gagnon of Danbury, Amanda Gagnon of Onawa, William "Billy", Jr. Gagnon (Jennie) of Danbury and Richard Gagnon of Onawa, Iowa; his grandchildren, Ryan Allen (Beau Mohr), Jasmine Allen (Kyler Prell), Aubrey Allen, Levi Allen, Timothy Gagnon, Freya Gagnon, Gabrielle "Gabbie" McConnell, Charlotte Gagnon, Hannah Gagnon and William "Liam" Gagnon, III; his great grandchild Randy Prell; his sister Claudia Gagnon of Webb City, Missouri; his son-in-law Travis Allen; and his former wife Gladys (Fernado Monroy) of Mapleton, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
