He was predeceased by: his parents, William McClain Sr. and Alice Ballard (Hanford); his close friend Myrtle Watson; and his siblings, Ruby, Ralph, Georgie, June and Beulah.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Ballard, Debbie Ballard (Cindy Goodman) and Sherry Gutzmer; his stepchildren, Terry Watson (family: Greg Watson) and Jodi Watson; his grandchildren, Jennifer Schatz (Matt), Bill Ballard (Rachel), Steven Ballard (Crista), Jeffery Ballard (Courtney), Zach Gutzmer (Heidi Maranville) and Tarah Gutzmer; and his great grandchildren, Ross Reinert, Vivian Ballard, Norah Ballard, Brinlie Ballard, Emmie Ballard, Bingham Ballard, Winston Ballard, Wilke Ballard, Edison Ballard and Jaxon Gutzmer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
