With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael A. Bartels of Onawa, Iowa, born in Ida Grove, Iowa, who passed away on October 12, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren "Bart" Bartels and Mary Bartels (Boger); his siblings, Cindy Nielsen and David "Dave" Bartels; his niece Jamie Ummach; and his grandparents, Walter, Anna Bartels (Wonder), Ferd and Mary Boger (Nepper).
He is survived by: his children, Alexandria Pedro (Auriol) of Papillion and Austin Bartels (Zachary) of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren, Maddy James, Angie Pedro and Michael Bartels; his sister Mary Farrell (Craig) of Fonda, Iowa; his nephews, Ed Ummach, Todd Ummach (Lori Sweeter French), Jason Nielsen (Andrea) and Jon Nielsen (Lana Means); his niece Stacia Stauter (Troy); and his brother-in-law Randy Nielsen. He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
