She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Simmons and Berta Simmons (Johnson); her husband Ival "Ike" Hinkel; her siblings, Gladys Hatcher (Les), Annabell Lizer (John), Hattie Bush (Frank), Joyce, Arnold Simmons (Thelma), Cal Simmons (Pauline), Paul Simmons (Betheen) and Tommy; and her brothers-in-law, Dallas Flaharty and Dick Haley.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy (Rich Leisinger) of Harrisburg and Gordon Hinkel (Darla) of Modale, Iowa; her grandchildren, Levi McAndrews (MeLinda), Shea McAndrews of Colorado, Jeremy Hinkel (Heather) of Le Mars, Brent Hinkel (Jenna) of Clarkesville, Georgia and Candace Kurth (Tyson) of Woodbine, Iowa; her great grandchildren, Riley, Fiona McAndrews, Kassidy Kommes (Kyle), Kameron Hinkel (Piper), Gabe (Maizy), Makenzie, Noah Hinkel, Lilly, Macie and Tenly Kurth; her great great grandchild Abel Kommes; and her sisters, Delores Haley of Ocoee and Shirley Flaharty of Odessa, Missouri. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
