He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chauncy and Marjorie Evelyn Burgess (Bennett); his wife Violet Burgess (Rowland); his daughter Lisa Beckwith; and his siblings, Leonard, Robert Burgess and Betty.
He is survived by: his children, Kay Green (Glen) of Hinton, Karen Cummins (Mike) of Onawa, Kyla Brewer (Jon) of Onawa, Iowa and Kory Burgess (Becki) of Whiting, Iowa; his grandchildren, Nick Burgess, Josh Ingram (Audrey), Kari Cassens (Bo Thomas), Brandon Cummins (Michelle Mahler), Alyssa Blanford (Jeremy), Zac, Jakob Brewer, Megan Burgess (Nick Jepson) and Madison Burgess; and his great grandchildren, Evan, Ian Meadows, Odin, Uriah, Mila Ingram, Lylah Cummins and Emersyn Jepson.
Masonic funeral rites and memorial service will be 1:00 P. M. Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Steve Jewett as the orator. (Social distancing measures must be followed-Due to Covid- 19 restrictions- Masks are required.).
